Witney News - Speeding Checks - Carterton

The Carterton Neighbourhood Policing Team will be in the town on Friday 6th October tackling speeding drivers as part of Operation Joule.
Starting at 8am and running throughout the morning, the Neighbourhood Team, in conjunction with Roads Policing, will be out with the Speed Indicator Device (SID) encouraging motorists to stick to the speed limits on Shilton Road and Upavon Way. In a similar operation in the area recently, three people were stopped in an hour travelling at excess speed along Upavon Way.
The Carterton, Bampton and Burford Neighbourhood Action Group identified speeding as one of its top priorities that needs tackling locally.
