All change at Burford Lodge
Not just a change of ownership
Burford Lodge Hotel & Restaurant, situated at the edge of the village of Burford has recently changed hands with the new owners introducing new ideas with an emphasis on local people and produce.
Tim Waller, owner of the Corinium Hotel in Cirencester and Mark Bullows, previously an award winning head chef, along with their wives have combined forces to re-launch the Burford Lodge with some modern and improved touches that will appeal to both the local and tourist markets.
Tim said “This is a wonderful hotel with so much potential we have already begun work to modernize the look of the hotel as well as bringing the menus in line with Mark’s high standard of cooking. Until we took over this was more of a local B&B, we would like to welcome local residents even if just popping in for a drink or a cup of coffee and plan on
holding a launch event to introduce ourselves to the village.”
Built in the early 19th century originally as a country residence, Buford Lodge retains much of the original features whilst offering every modern facility.
With eight elegant en-suite bedrooms, function room, onsite free parking, and a large bar and restaurant area, it is an ideal location for any occasion, whether for business or pleasure.
“We are keen to build ourselves a good reputation at Burford Lodge for our food and warm hospitality,” said Mark Bullows, managing partner in the business. He continued “We will be working with key local suppliers to produce interesting, value for money menus to suit everyone’s palette.”
