Witney News - School tops table of achievers

A school near Witney has topped the Key Stage 2 league tables published today (2nd Dec 2005). The tables show the number of 11-year-olds reaching the expected standard in English and Maths has increased slightly this year.
Combe Church of England Primary near Witney heads this year's achievement tables. All the Year 6 pupils reached the level expected for their age in each test subject and it was the only school in which they all reached the next level, expected of 14-year-olds.
Barbara Jones is head teacher of the Combe Church of England Primary school which has 115 pupils spread across four classes.
