Great ideas for days out

The latest information on over 40 places to visit for great days out in Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties goes on show at Steeple Aston on Wednesday 5th March at the annual Tourism Literature Exchange.

The venue is The Holt Hotel at Hopcroft Holt near Steeple Aston for an event which is primarily designed to allow hotel, guest house, pub, café and restaurant owners and similar to collect stocks of the latest leaflets about local and regional visitor attractions.

These will then go on display at their premises to provide free information to guests and customers on things to do and places to see while in West Oxfordshire and the surrounding area.

Co-hosted by West Oxfordshire District Council and Cherwell District Council, the event is also open, free of charge, to the public and runs from 10.30am to 3pm.

“The exchange is designed to ensure that our visitor attractions' literature gets to the widest range of relevant outlets locally that it can,” says Cllr Hilary Biles, West Oxfordshire District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure & Tourism.

“It also provides a great opportunity for the people running visitor accommodation to meet their counterparts who manage the attractions. I would encourage anyone to call in and simply pick up some great ideas for days out.”
