Witney News - Arson - Carterton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was set alight in Heather Close, Carterton between 1:15am and 1:40am on Friday (12th October).
A Volkswagon Polo was set alight on the driveway of a property. The fire destroyed the car as well as a shed and fences belonging to three houses.
PC Neil Wathes, based at Witney police station, said: "If it wasn't for the quick actions of local residents moving other cars and alerting the emergency services the situation could have been a lot worse causing greater damage to property and a serious risk to life.
"I would like to make a direct appeal to anyone who may have any information about this arson to contact the me."
