Arson - Carterton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was set alight in Heather Close, Carterton between 1:15am and 1:40am on Friday (12th October).

PC Neil Wathes, based at Witney police station, said: "If it wasn't for the quick actions of local residents moving other cars and alerting the emergency services the situation could have been a lot worse causing greater damage to property and a serious risk to life.

"I would like to make a direct appeal to anyone who may have any information about this arson to contact the me."

Anyone with any information about the incident to contact PC Wathes at Witney police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don't want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
