Witney Older People’s Information Fair

Leader of West Oxfordshire District Council, Councillor Keith Stone, will be opening the Age Concern Oxfordshire's Information Fair for older people in the Witney at 10.00am on Thursday 19th April at the Langdale Hall. The Information Fair will run until 2.30pm.

The Pension Service, the District Council, the NHS and the County Council's Trading Standards department have been pulling out all the stops, alongside Age Concern Oxfordshire and a whole range of other organisations, to put together a first rate programme for this event - not just informative, but also good fun!

Mary Daniel, Age Concern's Chief Executive says: "If you are over 50, there will be something at the Fair for you. We hope that as many people as possible will drop in during the day and take advantage of the masses of information as well as the activities.

The events will cover a whole range of issues of importance to older people: health, independence, safety, leisure, transport, finance and much more.

Organiser Mary Ann Shaw says: "We are really fortunate that so many experts will be on hand to provide information, answer questions, offer free taster sessions in Tai Chi and exercise. In town for one day only, the Fair will be a really good opportunity for people to get to know about things - and we also hope that people will have a good time!"
