Join the battle against global warming

West Oxfordshire residents are being encouraged to attend a free event in Witney on Saturday (March 3rd) to find out how they can play a part in the fight against global warming.

The Carbon Savers Day will take place from 10am to 4pm at Langdale Hall in Witney town centre.

It is being organised by West Oxfordshire District Council and its Witney-based energy efficiency advice centre, TVEC, in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust as part of the national Carbon Savers campaign.

Experts will be on-hand to give useful information and advice to people about how they can reduce their energy use and carbon emissions. A series of presentations will run throughout the day and visitors will have the chance to make their own Carbon Savers pledge to cut carbon emissions, such as switching to using low-energy lightbulbs at home, walking, cycling and using public transport instead of cars, or not leaving household appliances on standby.

All are welcome to attend to the event and admission is free. For more information, or to request a free Carbon Savers information pack, call 0800 028 2855
