Appeal for witnesses - Witney

A twenty-year-old woman with a broken wrist has attended Witney police station this evening (23/02) reporting that she can not remember the events leading up to the injury.

It is believed that she was found distressed near Witney last night (22/02). A woman in a car is believed to have stopped to help her, around 6pm close to the Roman Villa near North Leigh. The woman driver is believed to have called an ambulance for the woman. A jogger may also have stopped to assist.

An ambulance arrived and took the woman to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she was treated for a broken wrist.

Detectives investigating are at the early stages of the enquiry and are investigating if a crime has occurred. They are appealing for the woman who stopped and the jogger to come forward. Or if anyone saw anything suspicious in the area they are asked to contact Bicester CID via 0845 8 505 505.

Any further information will be provided when available.
