Cogges Manor Farm Museum is a working farm museum in Witney.

 

Cogges Manor Farm Museum is now closed to all users. The 2010 season will be operated by a new independent management trust. Information about the new service will be made public as soon as it is available.

The Cogges project board was set up to secure a long-term sustainable future for Cogges Manor Farm Museum as a site of local and national significance. It will take over the management from 1 April 2010.

The project also aims to:

meet the council’s financial plan
continue to care for the ancient monument and listed buildings
retain public access to the site and ensure that it is an attractive place to visit offering a high quality experience to visitors
maintain the integrity and atmosphere of the site
maintain the collections on site to professional standards
retain a level of heritage interpretation
ensure the site is used effectively as an educational resource
comply with the Conservation Statement

Regular activities and events at Cogges Manor Farm Museum have, in the past, included:

• handmilking
• feeding the pigs
• buttermaking (on most Sunday afternoons)
• work of the Victorian maids in the Manor House

The programme of special events includes:

• theme weekends
• daily activities for children and families in the school holidays
• summer evening performances
