Arts grants deadline approaching

Groups and projects that create arts opportunities in West Oxfordshire are being encouraged not to miss out on the chance to apply for funding from the District Council.

The deadline for applications to West Oxfordshire District Councilís Support for the Arts grants scheme is February 15th.

Funding between £100 and £1,500 is available to help organisations that benefit the local community through arts projects and developments. Groups and projects can apply for funding to meet a variety of costs, from general running costs to commissioning professionals to give assistance.

Cllr Hilary Biles, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism and Health, said: ďArts bring much joy to many peopleís lives and add to the vibrancy of West Oxfordshire. The Council is proud to support the arts through its grants scheme and I would encourage people to apply. Help and advice with applications is available.Ē

Application forms are available to download at www.westoxon.gov.uk/arts. Alternatively, call the Councilís Arts team on 01993 861554/861562, or email leisureandtourism@westoxon.gov.uk.
