Information and Activity Fair

The Langdale Hall, Witney - 8th May 2008

Following the success of the Witney Information Fair held last April and the successful Burford Information Fair held in April this year, Age Concern Oxfordshire, City and County will be running an Information & Activity Fair in Witney at the Langdale Hall on Thursday 8th May from 10am to 2.30pm. To be opened at 10.00am by Cllr.Gill Dunsmore.

The event will cover a whole range of issues of importance to older people, carer‘s and family members: health, independence, safety, leisure, transport, finance and much more, with professionals from many different organisations on hand to give information and advice first hand.

There will be Free Exercise Taster sessions and talks including;

Dance and Stretch at 11.00am, A talk on ‘Men’s Health’ at 11.35am and

A Chair Supported taster at 1.30pm, plus Free Refreshments and a Free Prize Draw.

Mary Daniel, Age Concern‘s Chief Executive says: ‘If you are over 50 there will be something at the Fair for you. We hope that as many people as possible will drop in during the day and take advantage of the masses of information as well as the activities and we hope that they will have a good time too!!’ . A Further Information Fair is planned for Chipping Norton Town Hall between 10.00 and 2.30 on 25th June 2008.
