Police appeal after high value burglary – Brize

Police are appealing for information after a burglary at a business on the Viscount industrial estate in Brize Norton overnight on Monday (11th December) and Tuesday (12th December).

Thieves stole a white Mercedes Box van from another part of the industrial estate and used it to pull the security window bars from the first floor window of 5 A’s Tool Hire. Once inside, they loaded £40,000 of power tools into the van before driving off.

PC Matthew Gorman, from the Priority Crime Team, said: “5 A's Tool Hire is a privately owned, local business that has been hit with a huge financial loss as a result of this crime.

”I am keen to speak to anyone, especially tradesmen, who is offered power tools for sale, especially those made by Makita, Stihl and Ryobi.”

PC Gorman can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to speak to police or leave your name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
