Fatal Collision – A40 slip road, Witney

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was killed in a traffic collision this evening (15th November).

The incident happened at around 3.53pm on the slip road of the A40 towards High Cogges, Witney.

A pedestrian was in collision with black Honda CRV travelling in the direction of Witney from Oxford.

The pedestrian, a lady, sustained life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The slip road is closed at both ends while investigations are carried out.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information which could help the police with their enquiries is urged to contact PC Roberts-Ablett based at Bicester police station via 0845 8 505 505.
