Fatal Collision – A420 Faringdon Road

Police are appealing for information following a collision on Saturday (6/10) on the A420 Faringdon Road in Kingston Bagpuize.

At around 8.15am, a green Renault Laguna was in collision with a cyclist on the westbound carriageway of the A420. The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cyclist, a 47-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sgt Bill Sykes, based at Abingdon police station said: “The road was closed for about three and a half hours while police examined the scene.

“At the time of the collision there were several people that could have witnessed the incident and I urge anyone with any information to contact me.”
