Serious incident in Witney on Sunday?

We have received reports of increased Police activity in Witney yesterday including Police helicopters, police bikes and mark/unmarked police cars.

The Witney grapevine is doing its work and has come up with a couple of stories, one involving an incident in Sainsburys cark park and one involving a Czech woman somewhere around the A40 exit road to Witney (between Ducklington and the Tesco garage).

Does anyone have any further information that we can pass on to other Witney.net readers?

** UPDATE **

The BBC website is reporting that a young Czech woman was discovered by a member of public on the A40 at Duckington on Sunday. It is thought that she had sustained an injury to the back of the neck, possibly after being assaulted with an implement.
