Fatal collision – Witney
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Witney earlier today (30/6).
Officers were called to Curbridge Road at 8.12am to reports that a car had collided with four pedestrians.
One of the pedestrians, a 14-year-old girl, was taken to hospital but died from her injuries. Two other 14-year-old girls and a man were also taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where they remain.
The 18-year-old male driver of the car, a blueCitroen C2, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in police custody.
The road is currently closed while investigations are carried out at the scene.
