West Oxfordshire LDF Core Strategy Update

A re-evaluation of the LDF Core Strategy is taking place following developments relating to the proposed Cogges Link Road scheme and the reduction in service personnel housing requirements at Carterton.

Publication of the Core Strategy has now been deferred to allow the implications of these developments to be fully explored. With the Department of Transport supporting the decision of planning inspectors not to approve the necessary compulsory purchase orders needed for the Cogges Link Road scheme to go-ahead - consideration has to be given to alternative ways of relieving traffic congestion in Witney.

Consultation will now be taking place towards the end of the year.

Further information on the preparation of the Core Strategy, to date, is available on the Council’s website www.westoxon.gov.uk/corestrategy
