1st Faringdon Scout Group
will be holding its first annual
Walkabout Garage Sale
in Faringdon on Saturday, April 28th between 10am and 2pm.
What's a Walkabout Garage Sale and how does it work?
It's like a car boot sale, but at home. Sellers register their sale with the Scouts for a minimum donation of £5. The Scouts then produce a map showing the locations of all those taking part, which will be available from local outlets before the event and from sellers on the day.
Buyers choose which sales they'd like to visit, turn up and hunt for bargains. Sellers do not need a garage: a driveway, garden or front room will work just as well.
All profits from registrations go to 1st Faringdon Scouts. Sellers keep all their sale profits and buyers reuse items which might otherwise have gone to landfill. Everyone's a winner!
